I really enjoy running the choir as I think it is extremely important for children to develop their singing skills in a group. I have always been involved in choirs and have learnt so much from it that I feel it is now my turn to pass on my experience and love of music to others. Since running the choir at school I have been amazed at how many talented young people there are in our school who seem to share my enjoyment for singing. It is lovely to walk down the corridor and be stopped by the children in choir and have such enthusiastic conversations about what they are doing in choir. I hope that this enthusiasm will continue throughout the year as we learn more and more songs.

Gearies Infants School choir is for children in Year 1 and Year 2. The children have to audition to earn a place in the choir. The choir rehearses every Thursday 3.15-4.15pm.
